What people usually ask
Does NovaFin connect to my bank?
No. NovaFin doesn't read bank transactions or ask for credentials. You enter your data and the app projects forward. It's a planning simulator, not an automatic expense tracker.
Where is my data stored?
In your browser's local storage (localStorage), on your own device. You can export a JSON backup any time. If you turn on device sync, only encrypted text is uploaded — the server can't decrypt it.
Do I need to create an account?
No. NovaFin works without sign-up. To use the same data on your phone and computer, you can enable optional sync via a pairing code.
Does it work if I have variable income or I'm a freelancer?
Yes. You can set variable-salary periods, extra income with a custom split across accounts, and temporary deductions with an end date.
Is there a cost?
The simulator is free.
