These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) govern access to and use of NovaFin (the “Service”). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. Service owner
The Service is provided by Mateo Sebastián Pilco Pérez (a natural person), domiciled in Quito, Ecuador. Contact: soporte@novafin-app.com.
2. Description of the Service
NovaFin is a financial planning simulator. It lets you project income, savings and spending into the future, log transactions, set “real month-end closes”, and estimate the month in which certain purchase goals become achievable, based on the data you enter.
- It does not connect to banks or execute financial transactions.
- It requires no sign-up or account creation.
- Data is stored on your device; device sync is optional and end-to-end encrypted (see the Privacy Policy).
3. Not financial advice
The Service is for informational and personal organisation purposes. Results are estimates based on assumptions and the data you enter, and do not constitute financial, accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. Projections may not match reality. Before making significant financial decisions, consult a professional. Use of the Service and any decisions you make based on it are your sole responsibility.
4. Acceptable use
You agree to:
- Use the Service in accordance with the law and these Terms.
- Not attempt to breach its security, overload the infrastructure, abuse the sync endpoints, or access other people's data.
- Not use the Service for unlawful activities or to process third-party data without their consent.
5. Availability and changes
The Service is offered “as is” and “as available”. We may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service, its features or these Terms, in whole or in part, at any time. Changes to the Terms take effect on publication, as shown by the “last updated” date.
6. Responsibility for your data
You are responsible for keeping backups of your information (JSON export). We do not guarantee the retention or recovery of data stored in your browser, which may be lost by clearing the browser, switching devices, or through failures outside the Service. The temporary sync copy may be deleted as described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Intellectual property
The “NovaFin” brand, the design, the interface and the code of the Service belong to its owner and are protected by applicable law. These Terms grant you no licence over those elements beyond normal use of the Service. The data you enter is yours.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service owner shall not be liable for indirect damages, loss of profits, loss of data, or harm arising from the use of or inability to use the Service, nor for decisions made on the basis of its estimates. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be limited under Ecuadorian law.
9. Third-party links
The app lets you save links to third-party sites (for example, product pages). We do not control or take responsibility for the content or practices of those sites.
10. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ecuador. Any dispute shall be submitted to the competent courts of the Service owner's domicile, without prejudice to the rights that consumer protection rules grant the user.
